I was given this book for my Christmas on the recommendation of a friend. I've never watched the TV series so this was a whole new area for me.
The book is incredibly gripping, having hooked me right from the start. The characters are easily established and you immediately feel involved with them.
It is a particularly gory book, with the murders explained in detail. I feel this just adds to the book.
All in all a good book that I devoured in less than 3 days.
